Ciao! Hasta Luego!....Bye!
for the time being. i'm heading on up to Pennsylvania to visit my grandparents, aunt and uncle, and cousins. for Thanksgiving of course.
anyways, ranting time.
today, i had roughly three hours of my life wasted in a movie theatre.
what movie you ask?
Alexander.
just....there was something wrong with this movie. maybe it was the distasteful nudity, excessive blood, horrible battle scenes (later in the movie. the conquering of persia was done quite well if i do say so myself.) or the continual theme of...man love. well, the man love itself wasnt too bad, but having the drunken man love happen more than once was a bit annoying.
i was at the point near the end of the movie, wondering when it was over. you know a movie is bad when that happens. maybe its just me, but i really did not like that movie. personally, the best character, was that of Olympias (played by Angelina Jolie) her character actually seemed to have depth in her role of Alexander's conniving and scheming mother. but she always seemed to have the best in mind for Alexander, so she wasnt that bad.
now, a movie you should all see...well, a few movies you should all see:
The Incredibles
The Polar Express
both, amazing movies. the CG is just incredible, especially The Polar Express. the movie is just how i would have imagined it to be as a child. I still love that book by the way, i was nearly crying when the boy couldnt hear the bell ringing, or couldnt see santa. (i know. pathetic, but he was so sad!) and the voices were very well done, having Tom Hanks do many of them, but the children were great.
Now, The Incredibles is yet another masterpiece by Pixar. obviously i'm sure you all know which of the characters is my favorite, i wont put it in. but i quite enjoyed the dynamics of the family. the children acted much like me and my brother would....if we had super powers. and the mom and dad actually made sense, they werent perfect. but they werent so screwed up it wasnt believable either. (not to mention the believable fact of some people desiring to live in their "glory days" and bring about the past again. which actually happens in this movie.) and the story line was pretty good as well, wont tell you what it is, so you'll have to see the movie.
ah well, time for me to go. i just hope the DC traffic isnt as bad as i think it'll be.
oh, by the way:
Halo kicks ass.
